Fix a trash compactor ram that won't move, binds, or stalls. This power nut threads onto the drive screw to restore smooth up-and-down ram travel.
I removed the front panel,by removing the small screws underneath it, then removed the screws on the front of the top panel and removed it. Replace this part if the drawer will not latch shut, the compactor fails to start because it does not detect a closed door, or the latch mechanism is visibly broken or worn.
