After some research I discovered the design change Samsung did 3 months after my model was manufactured. Upon removal of the damaged lid and referencing the parts schematic, it was apparent I needed the whole lid assembly. The new lid assembly slid into place easily. Unfortunately, the new part DID NOT include the four small retaining screws or the gray vinyl tabs to cover the screws. Luckily, I was able to find the old screws in the garbage.
