Jesse P Layton , UT October 04, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Washer WA422PRHDWR/AA-0000 Washer pump rattled off of the drum spilling all water inside all over my house huge mess! After some research I discovered the design change Samsung did 3 months after my model was manufactured. Instead of spending $110 on the "redesigned" part I took a good look at it and determined I could disregard the current mounting bracket and order 3 parts to make the conversion with my existing pump, which is working just fine. I did this for about $30 and that includes shipping. Saved $80!!! You'll order the new floor bracket, a hose that has a 90 on it to connect to the drum and another short hose that connects the pump to the exit hose out of the washer. NOTE: don't use the hose rings that are on there. Use actual hose clamps that you can since down tightly witha nut driver. The 3 parts #s you'll need: 1) DC67-00601A (drain hose) 2) DC61-03550A (Pump bracket to mount to floor) 3) DC97-17417A (washer tub drain hose) Read More... 15 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Socket Set
Michael D Lower Burrell , PA March 11, 2016 Appliance: Samsung Washer WA422PRHDWR/AA-0001 Poor location of drain pump First of all, I cannot believe that Samsung would actually think that putting the drain pump on the drum was a GOOD idea. The fix was easy, When I bought the washer off an individual, She told me that she was informed the drain pump needed replaced. So I did that. Pain in the a&* du to the location and trying to secure the bolts. It broke off after a week. I found out that Samsung put out a repair bulletin and a customer service rep from this site emailed it to me. After looking up the parts, I decided that I did not need to spend over $100 for the kit and purchased the necessary parts from APP for $60. So much easier to relocate the pump. Now you cannot even hear the washer run. Joseph H Fort Smith , AR November 01, 2015 Appliance: Samsung Washer WA456DRHDWR/AA-0001 Broken mounting bracket and broken drain pump protectivr housing Researched APP for existing problem stories for my model. Contacted APP Tech support and learned from Stanley Rymer that Samsung had revised the drain pump design and released a new assembly kit of parts to fix problem and a new assembly location. I did not buy the kit, but bought AP5669738 bracket, DC67-00601A hose and DC97-17417A hose and relocated the pump to the washer outer frame base, connected new hoses and electrical connections to the pump.
