This thermal fuse protects the washer motor from electrical overload by breaking the circuit when excessive current is detected. Located in the motor assembly, it needs replacement when the washer won't start or operate despite having power.
Its alive!! After a recent power surge, our washer would not spin or agitate. I tried replacing the timer but the motor still would not spin or agitate. I was really hoping the motor was not fried. I replaced the fuse and its working like a champion again!
