I had to replace the 3 terminals and try to put them in the new terminal receptacle. I replaced the lid switch because I broke the old one trying to diagnose the problem. I found the helpful video on this site after I had already started. Read more

When it broke I removed the dash panel and took note of how it was assembled. Went to Appliance Parts Pro web site found the part based on the model # of the machine, watched a video and then ordered the part. In this case replacement was simple. Read more
Replaced lid switch Read more
Missing plastic clip on lid switch was the problem. Replaced plastic clip, washer operates good as new. Pliers are needed to seat the plastic piece securely onto the lid switch. Read more
Color: almond. Measures about 2 inches in diameter.
The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge.
