I watched the Appliance Parts Pros and You tube videos on how to take apart the washer to get to the drain pump. I separated the drain pump motor from the pump housing to inspect the impeller then hooked the motor up to 120VAC to make sure it was running. Motor run fine but noticed a black plunger in the pump body. I went to chat with a technician at Appliance Parts Pros and she informed me that was a valve that would open and close as required.
