My washer began to emit a roaring noise, especially during the spin cycle. After a little research I determined that the likely culprit was seal and bearing failure plaguing front-load washing machines. I disassembled my Samsung WF306LAW/XAA in order to gain access to the three bearings. Identifying the three distinct bearing sizes from the failed parts, I was able to source a seal+bearings kit from a few Internet suppliers. After cleaning off the flange shaft assembly I could tell by the... Read more
Since the DC61-01558A was discontinued, I came across DC97-10417A during my online research. They appeared to be exactly the same, so......I decided to give it a try. After ensuring the water and electricity supplies are shut off, I remove the two screws at the rear of washer, opened the lid to access the water guide. It was a perfect match. Look like something caused damage to the corner of the plastic where the drain tube connects. This is a poorly made machine. Had previously replaced the spindle arm which was severely corroded. Wrote Samsung on this regarding a design flaw. Still waiting on a reply which will never happen since my letter probably needs to be... Read more
Pulled top off (4 black screws on back of machine, top right and left corners). Slide lid straight back. Pcb was mounted to back wall of machine. Simple switch out, took a couple of minutes, a part that was less than $40.00 and I was doing laundry again. Beats spending another $800-$1000 on a new machine! Read more
