In an attempt to clean the range from the grease-gunk build-up, I had to remove the burner heads. Unfortunately, the 2 most used burner heads had immovable screws that locked them into the orifices underneath. Press-fit retaining fastener that secures range door handles and components to studs. Replace when original nut is missing, bent, or no longer grips.
The plastic piece on the handle where the screw goes in to hold glass door up had broke. I ordered new handle, the retainer pieces that go over the plastic pieces to lock it all in and screws that were suggested. The screws were the wrong ones. They were way too small. I already had one screw and thankfully only had to buy 1 new one because the screw was $40 and shipping’s $10 for it AND it’s on back order right now. Found that the gas line did not have a dirt trap put in it. So I put one in. I think the regulator valve was not closing off. To be safe, I replaced the gas safety valve and regulator. Read more
