This is a small rubber o-ring that seals the drain pump filter cap on a front-load washer. It creates a watertight seal between the filter cap and the pump housing, preventing leaks during the wash and drain cycles. Replace this o-ring if you notice water dripping or pooling near the drain pump filter area at the front bottom of the washer.
