Outer tub cover that snaps over the washer's outer tub assembly. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing to restore proper clearance and protection.
I had to remove the front panel of the washing machine and top of the washing machine. i started by removing all the top screws as shown in one of videos. disconnected all the electrical wires (i have a commercial washer) and lifted the front panel over the back of the machine. i was then able to remove the top of the washing machine to give me access to the tub straps and the corresponding screws. i removed the broken straps and then was able to remove the tub cover by pushing down it down... I removed and inspected the lid magnet. It had a 1/8" layer of corrosion. I removed the layer of corrosion and reinstalled the part. the symptom improved. That was a stop-gap repair until the new lid magnet arrived. The broken rubber isolators were discovered when I removed the top of the washing machine. Read more
Replaced transmission, all seals, and dampers. It is a complicated, messy repair but costs much less than replacing the machine. This is the second tranny I have put in the 30 year old machine and now it works like new. Take the time to replace all seals if you do this repair. No use putting a new tranny in with old seals that will crack. Read more

Just slid the new one on... after pulling the metal retaining clip from the old one off of the shaft. When the old knob gave out the internal metal retaining clip stayed on the shaft. I didn't notice it until I tried to replace the knob and it wouldn't slide on easily. The best part was that the knob arrived the next day after ordering. Read more
