This is an engine zone control cable, also known as a control cable, manufactured by Husqvarna. This component stops the blade when a lawn mower handle is released. When this part goes bad, it can cause the brake not to release even when the handle is pressed down. Engine zone control cables are known for experiencing wear and tear with regular use. If the cable has any signs of damage, cracking, wear, or stretching, it will need to be replaced. First, disconnect the spark plug wire before releasing the cables from the handle.
