Banging or excessive vibration during spin? A worn suspension assembly causes loud noise and out-of-balance errors. Simple DIY fix with just a screwdriver.
The left rear suspension plastic housing holding the spring managed to crack somehow. I ordered two new ones in case I found another that needed replacement. After figuring out how to remove the top of the washer, the replacement was very simple. Only tool I needed was a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 4 screws holding the top down. I will say, watched a lot of videos on the computer before I started. Not all washers come apart the same. Now that I have done one, if I need to open it up... Read more

Fix LE error code or washer won't spin issues with this stator assembly. Common repair for motor lock problems. DIY-friendly, typically installed in 30 minutes.
Wendy on the phone was very helpful. WM3997HWA/01 is an all-in-one washer/dryer from 2017 and does not have a rotor position sensor on the stator. She helped determine that Stator Assembly AJB73816004 was the fix. There is also a 00 or 01 after the model number which can be found on the serial number tag when you open the door that identifies the different series. Easy repair to take on. Hope this helps. Replaces a cracked, rusted, or damaged tub cover assembly that attaches to the outer tub rim. Prevents water leaks and splashing during wash cycles.
A repair technician came out and eventually diagnosed the tub cover was leaking. He made a call to his distributor and said the part would take 4 to 6 weeks. I did my own research and found that appliance parts pros had the part in stock and it was half the price. Part came in two days later and it literally took me 15 minutes to repair. Will definitely be using appliancepartspros.com in the future. Read more
