This clutch assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer and is intended for use in washing machines. The clutch assembly controls the movement of the internal tub and agitator during operation. Over time and with regular use, the clutch assembly may become worn and fail to work correctly. If the washing machine tub is not moving back and forth during the wash cycle or is not spinning during the spin cycle, the clutch is broken. If it is moving or spinning, but not efficiently or fast enough, the clutch is worn and beginning to fail. In both of these instances, the clutch assembly should be replaced. Excessively wet clothes at the end of the laundry cycle can also be indicative of a broken clutch.A screwdriver, socket set, putty knife, and impact wrench with a large 38mm socket are required to make this replacement. Ensure the power is disconnected and the machine is drained. While the tub is out of the machine, take time to clean the area of gunk and buildup. Wear gloves while working on the machine. This clutch assembly is made of durable metals and is individually sold. It is designed for use in washing machines by LG and Kenmore.
This socket connects and secures the suspension rod that helps support your washer tub during operation. It allows the tub to move properly while containing vibrations and maintaining balance. Replace it if your washer shakes excessively, makes loud noises during spin cycles, or the tub seems loose.
This washer clutch housing assembly contains the clutch mechanism that engages the wash basket during spin cycles. It allows the basket to rotate freely during washing and lock for high-speed spinning to extract water. Replace it if clothes remain soaking wet after spin, the washer won't spin, or you hear grinding noises during the spin cycle.

The washer pulsator is located at the bottom center of top-loading washing machines and creates the agitating motion that cleans clothes. Replace if clothes aren't getting clean, the pulsator is cracked or loose, or you notice reduced agitation during wash cycles.
