This is the outer door frame that surrounds the front-loading washer's door assembly, providing structural support and a finished appearance. It holds the door glass and inner components in place and helps maintain a proper seal against the door gasket. Replace this frame if it is cracked, warped, or damaged, which can cause water leaks around the door or prevent the door from closing securely.
