It took about 30 minutes to replace the control panel. The hardest part was screwing the control board back into the face panel. The old screws weren't long enough. I ended up having to use a machine screw that I had on hand. Aside from that, the repair was easy. Read more
This is a GE oven control board. It's a critical part of the appliance and allows the user to adjust and view the temperature, check the clock, set a timer, or change oven functions. While the oven control board is designed to last, it can be compromised by exposure to moisture, high heat, and other factors. Signs that the control board may need to be replaced include an inoperable screen or an inoperable oven. The control board cannot be repaired and will need to be replaced. First, disconnect the oven from the power or flip the circuit breaker. Next, remove the cowling over the display to reveal the control board. It is held in place with four screws that must be removed. Disconnect the wiring harness. Install the new board by following these steps in reverse order. This is an OEM part and it is sold individually. It is compatible with GE ovens only.

The replacement fixture was complete - even had a bulb!. Only had to remove two screws, unplug the old fixture, plug in the new fixture, and replace the screws. We did turn OFF the power during this. Light works perfectly. Read more
