- Ensure all controls are OFF and the appliance surface is cool
- Pull the old knob straight off the valve stem—avoid prying tools that could mar the finish
- Align the new knob with the stem and press straight on until fully seated
- If it doesn't seat, check stem orientation or damage before proceeding; do not force
