Opened microwave door and removed inside black trim (snaps in) with a slotted screwdriver. Removed two philips head screws holding handle to door. Handle is a two piece design that snaps together. Removed broken outer handle and snapped it back together. Cleaned black trim and glass. Reinstalled handle and black trim to complete repair. Read more

I took my time and the only issue was that I had to flip the handles from the first installation so that the trim would fit better. I tried to glue it back together, but the surface area was so small that it didn't hold. Then I tried using a small piece of metal epoxied to the top for strength. That held, but I didn't think that it would last, so I ordered a new set of handles. Appliance Parts Pro's had the best overall price even with the shipping. It was an easy fix. I simply removed the microwave door lining with a putty knife, which gave me access to the handle's two screws. I unscrewed and removed the remnants of the broken handle and then fastened the new handle in place. The only trouble I encountered involved the two replacement screws that came with the new handle. After trying to screw them into place, I discovered that they were too two long. I used the existing screws instead. Read more
