This is the safety glass panel that fits into the dryer door, allowing you to view the drum contents during operation. It provides a heat-resistant barrier between the heated drum interior and the outer door surface. Replace this part if the glass is cracked, shattered, or has become cloudy and no longer allows clear visibility into the drum.

Removed the original outer door retaining screws with torque bit. Unfortunately the new door was slightly thicker than the original. Therefore also removed (loosened) the control panel to fit the new door behind the control panel slots that the outer door was to slide tabs into. Fastened all screws back in place. Control panel screws very tight fit but forced into place. Looks great but difficult as new outer door not perfect fit in thickness. Read more
