Internal water leak on a bosch shu5316 uc/06 dishwasher David B. • Aspinwall , PA • March 13, 2015
Using instructions I obtained over the internet, I first removed the DW's bottom cover panels so I could look inside the DW (with a flashlight) while it was running. I had to put their dishwasher through several wash cycles before I could pinpoint the location of the leak. (The water appeared to be coming from above on the left side of the DW, near the top, rear of the DW's blue "Pressure Chamber." Thinking that the problem likely lay in either a malfunctioning Pressure Chamber or in a...

Kenmore dishwasher would start but would not fill with water Gene M. • Glendale , AZ • November 30, 2015
Recently my Kenmore dishwasher would start but would not fill with water. A quick test of the float switch reflected proper operation, AND voltage was being delivered TO the contact on the water inlet valve. I then removed power and checked for continuity on the contacts. This read “infinity” (Open circuit) which indicated a break in the coil inside the valve’s solenoid. As such the valve would not open to allow water to flow.
I ordered the replacement water inlet valve from...

LG front load washer door gasket needed replacement due to mold buildup Howard F. • Port Orange , FL • April 15, 2020
If you have an older model WM8000H_A you MUST pay attention to the type of door gasket (boot seal) that it uses. Every video I could find for replacing the seal on the WM8000HWA involved a different product than what was required for our specific washer. I wound up getting the wrong one by ordering it without help and had to exchange it - after I had the machine taken apart. Thanks to AppliancePartsPros I got the correct seal and front retaining ring the next day.
NOTE! The retaining rings are...

Door seal was leaking Jennifer F. • Rochester , NY • February 29, 2016
This process was fairly straightforward, it took a couple of hours. I watched a video on youtube and followed the directions. The trickiest part was attaching the diaphragm to the tub. The weights were in the way and made it difficult to seal. I ended up removing the weights and it went on much easier.

Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10906683
The Door Seal is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It forms a tight seal around the dryer door, preventing heat from escaping and ensuring efficient drying performance. This seal helps to maintain the internal temperature of the dryer, optimizing energy use and improving drying results.
Causes of a bad door seal can include wear and tear from regular use, damage due to improper handling or cleaning, or deterioration over time. A compromised door seal can affect the efficiency of the dryer and lead to potential safety issues.
Symptoms of a bad door seal include:
- Heat escaping from the dryer door
- Longer drying times
- Higher energy consumption
- Visible wear or damage to the seal
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

The door gasket was broken and was tearing cloths David M. • Lima , OH • December 19, 2019
I replaced the gasket. Removing the old one was not easy. I used a razor knife to cut out most of it. And then I used rubbing alcohol to soften the remaining glue and scrapped it out with a small blade screwdriver

Whirlpool direct driver washer leak caused by basket drive shaft wear Philip L. • Columbia , MD • November 15, 2019
In reality, this turned into a full-on rebuild project - with several parts orders, not just a simple repair. But I have to give credit: The parts listings with pictures on the AppliancePartsPros web site were really useful in figuring out what was going on inside the machine, and what parts I would need.
Also: The repair videos were critical for me to be able to ensure I was reassembling everything correctly. Shout out to Simon, who was featured in several of the repair videos. His "gorgeous...

The hose from the bottom of the dishwasher tub tot he pump ripped when the dishwasher filled with water it came out all over the floor Wayne S. • Ephrata , PA • September 29, 2026
I looked at the diagram on Appliance Parts Pros and found the part that was broken and I added it to my cart. I realized that they also had the gasket that goes around the door and remembered that it leaks sometimes, so I put that in my cart as well. My wife reminded me that the hinge on the right side was rusty so I added that to my cart. For just over $1 with tax and shipping I was able to refurbish our dishwasher for less than 10% of what it would cost to replace. I watched a few YouTube...

H2o code Ralph A. • Youngstown , NY • August 15, 2026
Repair was easy. The new part didn’t fix the problem. The feed shutoff valve worked (produced water) however, inside it’s rubber pieces broke off and clogged the feed line. Need a new valve but the new parts are typical wearables so I kept them in. The two parts I purchased from Appliance were at my door within 24 hours. Great service!!

Dishwasher would not fill Eric D. • Indianapolis , IN • March 02, 2020
Replacing the inlet valve solved the problem. The old valve was somehow clogged with white sediment. I probably could have taken it off and cleaned it out if I'd known, but replacing the valve was much easier. Took about half an hour to repair. Video walk through was extremely helpful. Great to have a working dishwasher again!
