Leroy D Seattle , WA February 13, 2023 Digital display panel no longer illuminated. The digital display/control touch screen stopped lighting up. I discovered it still worked (very faint beeps when pressing buttons, but literally flying in the dark (screen). This was the second screen that went black in a little over two years time. Did a google search and placed the replacement order with AppliancePartsPros.com. It arrived a few days later. It took me longer to get the tools together than to swap out the display panel. An easy Google search will get you an easy todo video clip. Four screws to access the back of the dials and display face, and four screws to remove the plate holding the display panel. Pull off the electrical connector to the display panel. Bend four tabs ever so slightly and remove the bad unit and put in the new one. Put it all back together. One comment on the internet recommended putting a bead of silicon along the seam at the front of the stove top to keep liquids from reaching (and damaging) the display panel. Tools used - a multibit screwdriver with a torx bit and a phillips, a pair of pliars (needle nosed or regular), and a tube of clear silicone sealant. John R Gold Hill , NC November 07, 2022 Appliance: Bosch Range HDI8054U/06 Erratic display board behavior with oven door open. Replaced the display board after it had repeated erratic behavior when oven door was open (especially at temps above 400F, but slowly trending downward). This cured the problem completely. The display board is located directly above the oven door and gets a blast of heat when the door is opened. Saw code E011 displayed among several others before the repair. The new board also brightened up the numeric display considerably. It looks like new again. My guess is that the board's power supply had deteriorated due to repeated heat stress causing the vacuum fluorescent display (the blue-green numerals) to characteristically appear weak. This probably indicates the display board itself was hanging on the bottom edge of its operating voltage range and a blast of heat was all it took to send it over the brink. The oven had been in use for 6 years (since 2016). I am extremely pleased with the repair. The only tool I needed was a T20 Torx screwdriver to remove the four-panel screws and a set of hefty neddle nose pliers to bend and straighten the board retaining tabs. James M Paige , TX August 19, 2022 Appliance: Bosch Electric Range HII8055U/01 The oven display and controls were dead except for the oven light the range top worked normally. Turn off the breaker to the Range. Pull it forward six inches to access the front panel screws. Remove the front panel. Two screws on the ends and two screws underneath. Ease the panel away from the stove. It may be stuck to the top by years of boiled-over porridge, mine was. The wires are long enough to place the panel on top of the range but lay a towel down to stop scratching the range. There are two wire bundles, one to the display board and one to the control board. Both can be disconnected from the board by gently pulling on the connector. This allows the entire panel to be taken to a bench for troubleshooting. I noticed the connector on my display board was corroded. I cleaned the gold fingers but the damage was extensive. I plugged the boards back in to the range and used a multimeter to check for voltage to the display board. 12V went into the board ok but no voltage was found on any other components. I removed the display board from the front panel by straightening the 4 metal tabs. I spent hours searching the internet for all the numbers on the board with no luck. Then I selected the range model number in the AppliancePartsPros.com parts finder and a parts diagram popped up. I selected the display board, placed my order and two days later the part was on my doorstep. Installation was a breeze and now my range is back in action and my wife thinks I'm a genius. James M Paige , TX September 06, 2022 Appliance: Bosch Electric Range HII8055U/01 The display module failed again. I replaced the display module in my Bosch range just two weeks ago. Right away, my daughter allowed a pot of Ramen to overflow onto the stovetop. The water migrated past the seal between the top and the front panel and fried the display again. BE AWARE..! If you take the front panel off this Bosch range you must reseal with a NEW strip or add silicone sealer when you put it back together After I ordered the replacement on a Saturday, I received a call from AppliancePartsPros.com Customer Service to ask me if there was a problem with the first replacement. Amazing service. I confessed to the failure being my fault and the new board arrived on the following Wednesday. I had forgotten what good service and customer support were like.
