The digital display/control touch screen stopped lighting up. I discovered it still worked (very faint beeps when pressing buttons, but literally flying in the dark (screen). This was the second screen that went black in a little over two years time. Did a google search and placed the replacement order with AppliancePartsPros.com. It arrived a few days later. It took me longer to get the tools together than to swap out the display panel. An easy Google search will get you an easy todo video clip. Four screws to access the back of the dials and display face, and four screws to remove the plate holding the display panel. Pull off the electrical connector to the display panel. Bend four tabs ever so slightly and remove the bad unit and put in the new one. Put it all back together. One comment on the internet recommended putting a bead of silicon along the seam at the front of the stove top to keep liquids from reaching (and damaging) the display panel.
Tools used - a multibit screwdriver with a torx bit and a phillips, a pair of pliars (needle nosed or regular), and a tube of clear silicone sealant.
