The Electrode is an OEM part for Bosch cooktops and ranges. It is responsible for creating the spark that ignites the gas burner, ensuring that the cooktop can light efficiently and safely. This component is crucial for the proper functioning of the burners, allowing for reliable ignition every time you use the cooktop.
Over time, the electrode can become faulty. Causes of a bad electrode can include wear and tear from regular use, exposure to high temperatures, or buildup of food residue and grease. These factors can impede the electrode's ability to produce a spark.
Symptoms of a bad electrode include:
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.
Removed the top and replaced 2 of the electrodes. Read more
Used to hold down the jet holder assembly.
First and foremost, don't believe everything you see on Youtube. In order to get to the gas solenoid that feeds the burner you MUST take the entire top off that side of the range. Remove the grates and burner tops. You will see 2x 20mm brass nut, or so it appears, that hold each burner in place on the splash/drip pan. It is not just a nut, it is a venturi that threads down into what is called the jet holder. You may get a socket on it and think you are getting it loose but, more than likely you... Read more

Took out igniter module and porcelain was cracked. Replaced with ordered part and it worker fine! Read more
The Ignition Device is an OEM part for Bosch gas cooktops. This ignitor is responsible for sparking the burners to safely ignite the gas flow and initiate the cooking process. The ignition device works through a high-voltage electrical arc that produces a spark near each gas burner valve whenever a cooktop burner is turned on. This spark reliably ignites the gas, allowing full and consistent burner flame. Causes of a bad ignition device can include defects in the electronic components, wear and tear of the electrode tips over time, or issues preventing a strong enough spark from occurring. Symptoms of a bad ignition device include:
Appliance pros had the part. Incredibly, we received it the next day. They sent a confirming e mail with general instructions on how to replace it. Worked like a charm! Our's is a Bosch unit. The retaining brass nut in the center of the burner is an odd size-20 mm which I did not have among my many automotive metric tools. The local Auto Zone though had a 20 mm socket. Once that was removed the procedure would have been a breeze except the retaining screw on the old igniter was frozen. ... Read more
