Found the belt was thrown off. Reinstalled the belt and when doing so felt that the pulley was wobbling on the barrel shaft. Took the pulley off and noticed the inside of the pulley was worn badly and needed to be replaced. When received the new pulley and belt easily installed and was working like new. Read more

I replaced the door seal for the leak. We had a small tear in the sealing surface that resulted in water dripping down the front of the machine (just below the door). I replaced the water inlet valve. Apparently, the hard water in my house slowly deposits crud around the valves such at over time, the valve seals quit forming a tight seal when closing. This allows water to slowly leak through, even with the machine off. I removed the top of the washer, disconnected hoses and wires and replaced the valve in fairly short order.
