Fix a range hood fan stuck at full speed or not working with a new speed control switch. DIY repair typically takes 15-30 minutes with basic tools.
Turned off power. Removed cover over back of fan control switch. Unscrewed nut holding old switch in place. Removed clear plastic wire coverings. Hardest part of job. Photographed wires. Removed wires of old switch and replaced with wires from new switch. Had an extra green wire since old switch did not have a ground. Secured switch in panel with nut that came with it.
