Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: 61927
This 240-volt heater assembly restores the appliance's ability to generate and maintain heat during operation, helping cycles reach designed temperatures for proper performance and results. What it does:
- Converts electrical energy into heat for the appliance's heating circuit
- Helps the unit reach and hold target temperatures during heat-required portions of the cycle
- Replaces a damaged, shorted, or open heating element
- Symptoms can include no heat when expected, longer-than-normal cycles, tripped breakers, or heater-related error codes
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing; 240V circuits can be hazardous
- Document wire locations and move connectors one at a time to the new assembly
- Avoid bending or striking the element; ensure secure mounting and proper clearances
- After installation, check related safety devices (high-limit, thermostats, fuses) and verify the circuit has correct voltage and continuity
