Description

This interlock assembly senses a closed door and, on locking models, secures it so the cycle can run. A worn latch or failed switch can cause no-starts, door/lock errors, or cycles that stop unexpectedly.

• Detects when the door is fully closed and signals the control
• Engages the lock mechanism to prevent opening during operation
• Common symptoms: cycle won't start or spin, door won't lock or unlock, "door/lock" error codes, intermittent starts
• Restores safe interlock so the appliance only runs with the door secured

• Disconnect power before servicing; sharp cabinet edges may be present
• Access the latch from the front/door area; remove mounting screws and unplug the wiring connector(s)
• Move connectors to the new assembly one at a time; do not force terminals
