Description

This Rulon 488 cylinder glide supports the front edge of the dryer drum at the bulkhead. Replacing a worn glide restores smooth, quiet rotation and helps eliminate scraping or squealing from the front of the drum.

• Provides a durable, low-friction surface between the drum rim and front bulkhead
• Supports the drum to minimize drag and wear for quieter operation
• Worn glide may cause scraping/squealing noises or a dragging drum
• Visible flat spots, grooves, or excessive wear on the glide indicate replacement

What's included: One cylinder glide (Rulon 488). Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Access the front bulkhead and support the drum to relieve load on the glide
• Remove the worn glide and clean the mounting area; install the new glide in the same position/orientation per factory fasteners
• Rotate the drum by hand to inspect felt seals and any additional glides and replace if worn
