Description

A small rubber grommet that cushions and protects components where a shaft, bolt, or wire passes through metal or plastic. Restores proper fit and reduces vibration, rubbing and wear to help parts last longer. What it does:

• Cushions and isolates mating parts to reduce vibration and noise
• Protects wiring, hoses or shafts from abrasion where they pass through panels
• Helps maintain proper alignment and fit of assemblies that use a rubber mount
• Can relieve chafing that causes intermittent electrical or mechanical issues

Install notes:

• Disconnect power before accessing internal components
• Remove nearby panels or fasteners to reach the old grommet; use pliers or a flat tool to pry out carefully
• Press the new grommet into place until fully seated; do not stretch excessively
• Inspect surrounding parts for wear and replace damaged clips, wiring or seals as needed
