Alicia M Kenner , LA November 09, 2014 Appliance: Model AWN542S Pin sized leak in part of the hose that is on the exterior of the case would spray water onto the wall and floor when draining Unplug from electric socket. Pulled the washer away from the wall. Have a container ready to catch any water remaining in the hose. Remove the hose from the drain in the wall and drain into container. Unsnapped the hose from the guide on the back side of the washer and removed the plastic piece around the hose on the outside of the case where the hose enters the inside of the case. Took off the front of the case, removing two screws from the bottom of the front and two from the underside of the top using a ratchet with an 8mm socket. Lifted up the lid - first use painters tape acros the top to keep it closed. Pulled the hose through the hole in the case toward the inside and popped out of the two plastic guides that clamp it in place. Unscrewed the clamp from the black end of the hose at the bottom, disconnected the hose catching remaining water in a shallow pan. Pulled the hose completely out from the top of the washer - careful, there is still some leaking of water. Put on the new hose...Losely dangle the hose from the right top back corner of the washer and then pull through to the front. Slip the clamp on the new hose at the bottom, connect it to the washer and tighten the clamp with the ratchet and 8mm socket. Thread the new hose back to the through the hole in the back of the washer. Snap the hose into place in the plastic guides inside of the washer at the bottom and side. Put the case back together. Push the washer back towards the wall and reinstall. This took me longer than it should have because I had trouble losening the screws. Once I found my husband's socket set with the ratchet and correct sized socket it went much faster. The hose is kind of stiff and that made it a little more trouble too.
