The refrigerator ice maker hole plug is a rubber or plastic cap that seals the pre-drilled opening in the refrigerator cabinet wall that is used for ice maker water line connections. It keeps cold air from escaping through the unused hole in refrigerators that do not have an ice maker installed. Replace or install this plug if cold air is leaking through an open hole in the back wall of the refrigerator, causing temperature fluctuations or frost buildup.
