Description

In a pressure washer, the carburetor balances the fuel to air ratio to keep the equipment running efficiently. There is a storage chamber that holds fuel, an idling jet, a main jet, an accelerator pump, and a choke. Any or all of these parts can wear down over time with regular use. When the carburetor is not functioning correctly, a new one is necessary to keep the pressure washing equipment operable.The carburetor is often the first part to check if the pressure washer won't start, has a sudden performance drop, or is producing black smoke while running. To replace the carburetor, remove the metal piece that is holding down the bolts on the exhaust if they are present.
