Description

This genuine OEM replacement carburetor assembly is an essential part of a lawn mower engine and without it, the engine will not start. This is because the carburetor maintains a delicate balance of fuel and air. Before fuel can be injected into the ignition, it first has to be mixed with air, otherwise it will not light. Too much fuel will cause the engine to flood but if there is not enough fuel, the engine will not start. The most common problem with carburetors is that they become gummed up with fuel and exhaust residue. While it is possible to clean a carburetor, if it's not done regularly or in time, the carburetor will no longer run effectively and will need replacing. This is usually apparent because the engine will not get enough fuel and can backfire, hard start, or even smoke. To replace the carburetor, use a screwdriver to remove the air filter and filter housing and a pair of pliers to remove the gas line. The rest of the job should be doable by hand. Be sure to drain the engine of fuel before starting this job. This part is compatible with Tecumseh and Toro lawn mowers and is sourced from its original manufacturers. This assembly includes a gasket.
