Description

This gasket set is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used in many different lawn and garden machine engines. These gaskets are used in the carburetor to prevent air and fuel from leaking out and reducing engine performance. Everyday use and the excessive heat of the engine can cause damage to the gaskets over time. This is evident by a sputtering engine or one that backfires. This is due to air or fuel infiltrating the combustion chamber through the carburetor. When this occurs, the gaskets will need to be replaced.Open the carburetor and remove the damaged gaskets. Clean the parts of the carburetor, receiving the new gaskets before installing them. If the areas are cleaned well, the new gaskets will not require lubrication. After seating the gaskets, ensure the fit is tight and that there is no buildup of debris or dust that could interfere with a complete seal. If the gasket appears off level, check for dust or tiny particles underneath it; remove it and clean the area before sealing the part. Reinstall the carburetor cover. Start the engine with the pull rope and check for sputtering or backfiring; there should be none. This gasket kit is sold as an individual kit.
