Description

This is a recoil pull starter used in various snowblowers from major manufacturers. The recoil pull starter is a part of the starter assembly and assists with ensuring the engine gets the right amount of power to start when a user pulls the starter rope. Wear and tear or impacts can cause damage to the starter and it will eventually fail. One of the primary symptoms of a bad recoil pull starter is a slack pull cord when trying to engage the engine to use the snowblower. If this occurs, the recoil pull starter needs to be replaced.Turn off the snowblower and disconnect the spark plug wire before removing the recoil housing cap. Untie the pull rope and replace the starter with a new replacement component. Re-tension the spring with the new recoil starter before reattaching the cap that holds the pulley.
