This OEM part is a cotter pin for lawnmowers. The cotter pin is the small clip that secures the mower deck to the mower. A cotter pin can become rusted or damaged due to exposure to the elements. If the cotter pin is no longer securing the mower deck, then it will need to be replaced. Luckily replacing this part is a relatively simple fix.To replace the cotter pin, start by making sure the mower is turned off. After that, locate the old damaged pin. Use a pair of pliers to pull it out of its place. Once removed, slide the new pin into its opening and make sure it is set securely on the mower deck.
