This is a brake pad. The brake pads attach to clips and serve to stop the mower. The pads push against the rotors and cause friction, allowing the mower the stop movement. Worn-down brake pads can be hazardous to the rider and the mower. There are several signs of worn-down pads. There may be a squeaking or scraping sound coming from the wheel area. If the problem persists, a noticeable grinding sound can even be felt when the mower is driven.Replace the pads by removing the wheels. The pads are attached to calipers that fasten to the rotors. These are removed with a socket wrench. After removing the calipers, there are clips that fasten the pad in place. Push these clips and remove the old pad. Repeat these steps in reverse to install the new pads.This product is a genuine OEM part and is sourced directly from the manufacturer.
