Description

This sealed burner igniter is the spark electrode for a gas cooktop burner. It creates the ignition spark at the burner head so your surface burner lights reliably when you turn the control knob.

• Produces the high-voltage spark that ignites gas at a sealed surface burner
• Helps resolve a single burner that won't light or lights intermittently
• Common signs: no visible spark at that burner, continuous clicking without ignition, or a cracked/chipped ceramic insulator
• A shorted or misaligned electrode can cause the spark to jump to ground instead of the burner

Includes: One surface burner spark igniter/electrode. Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Remove the burner cap and head; lift the cooktop if needed to access the electrode
• Handle the ceramic insulator carefully; disconnect/reconnect the wire lead and reuse mounting hardware
• Align the tip toward the burner port and secure; verify a strong, consistent spark before reassembly
