Prashant K Fishers , IN October 11, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDS25SHWH1 Dishwasher door panel was rusting I had no hope of separating the panel from the frame without damaging the frame since the two parts were rusted pretty badly and the screws holding the panel to the frame were completely beyond salvage. So I had to replace both the panel and the frame. I ended up removing the electrical/electronic connections, removing the panel/frame from the hinge and then replacing it with the new parts. Took about 90 minutes but the hardest part was removing other items from the rusting frame without damaging those parts. It looked like the soap dispenser mechanism was the culprit of the water leak causing the rust. So I'll be replacing that now. Opened box, took out metal kick panel and placed in position and used two metal screws ordered with it to secure panel to bottom of dishwasher. Couldn't have been easier. Linda L Paso Robles , CA February 23, 2019 Horrible door squeak needed kick plate too Kick plate was easy; screw holes in the wrong place, but used double-sided tape instead and worked great. Didn't need the extra screws ordered; it came with them. The roller spindles should be sent with a packet of grease. When replaced, the door was even louder than previous.
