I bought a door handle and door latch for $~100 and fixed my dishwasher in about 10 mins. I ordered the parts on Sunday, they arrived on Tuesday. Nicholas S Barnegat Light , NJ September 23, 2016 Appliance: Model MAYTAG DISHWASHER Door latch assemby and dooe latch hande broken Repair person( Maytag )came out and said needed new door latch assembly but part on back order and would be weeks to arrive. He suggested need new dishwasher. I have identical washer so I suggested remove assembly from other washer and then wait for part. He broke the door latch assembly while attempting to remove it. I then sent him on his way.
