Kerry E Union , KY November 22, 2015 Appliance: Model SEARS FRONT LOAD WASHER Washer f 20 error code After having a technician come to look at my washer, diagnosing the problem, and then not having the part to fix it (which would've taken another week or so after the washer was down at this point for a week and a half) I decided I could fix it myself. The problem ended up being the styrofoam piece that was meant to protect the hose from rubbing on anything didn't do it's job. The result ended up causing a pin hole size puncture in the hose which was allowing air to escape. That hose, along with the pressure switch, is part of what regulates the control of water entering the washer. The washer would run for about 4 minutes on a cycle, then shut down. In any case, this is a Kenmore washer and where it would've taken Sears almost another week to get me the part via ground shipment, Appliance Parts Pros was able to get me what I needed by the next day via ground shipment. Very impressive. On this particular model washer, I decided it was easier to remove the drain pump to access the bottom end of the hose easier which was the case. Later in the day once the Sears visit happened, I went ahead and removed the pump, removed the old hose, and had it ready to reassemble once the new hose arrived. Re-installing the new hose was very easy and putting the pump back in only took about five minutes. So, for a few minutes of my time and parts that were the same as what Sears would have sent me, I took care of it myself and the washer is back to normal. Moral of the story, do some investigating online and don't be afraid to take something like this on yourself. Just remember if you ever remove the drain pump, it will still have some water in it, so handle it carefully or better yet, drain the pump first before removing it. But I've ordered parts from APP before and will again if necessary. The information provided is very helpful, parts are delivered timely and as a better price than most. Robert L Santaquin , UT April 24, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Washer MHWZ600TW01 F20 error I ordered a new pressure return hose and an air chamber from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched the repair video, which was helpful. I never would have thought to remove the drain pump. Removing the pump made the job easy. I completed replacing both parts in about 30 minute and my washer works great again. Fed Ex delivered my order three days after promised and said they had no liability for lost orders. Appliance Parts Pros shipped a new one. Great company. I would recommend them to anyone who likes DIY repairs.
