Jack S Hillsboro , TX October 26, 2015 A transformer on a nearby pole shorted out and affected our double oven No display caused me to check power to the oven, then all inline fuses. Found one fuse to the main electronic control board was blown. Replaced that, still no display. Purchased and changed the afore mentioned board. This time the display worked but only about half of the touch pad buttons responded. Then changed the touch pad board and I have a happy wife. Steven H Mountain Green , UT September 02, 2014 Appliance: Whirlpool Electric Oven RBD305PDS12 An error code came up indicating the control panel had lost communication with the control board I turned off the power, used a lift cart that I could raise up to the height of the oven’s bottom and pulled the oven from the cabinet. I removed the metal cover from the top of the oven and removed the screws securing the control board to the display board and disconnected the ribbon cable from the control board. I had to remove trim from either side of the oven to expose a screw on each side of the control panel holding it in place. I replaced the control panel, attached the ribbon cable and secured the control panel to the control board, replaced the metal cover and slid the oven back into place, restored power.
