Kelly M Garrettsville , OH June 05, 2015 Cook top was cracked It was easy to remove the old top and replace it with the new. the only thing we couldn't find the heat resistant silicone strip that goes between the counter top and the glass cook top. we ended up reusing the old one. maybe it should come with the replacement top? Matt M Draper , UT November 06, 2015 Cracked glass on stovetop It was pretty easy. Just unscrewed it from the cabinets, and then unscrewed the cracked top and put the new one back on. I did need some foam to go between the edge of the cooktop and the granite. Also, it was sealed before so I had to get some caulking (this would be to keep spilled liquids from getting underneath and leaking). It was simple. Unfortunately the tape is white and the cooktop and the granite countertop are both black so the tape is quite visible. I plan to attack the tape with a black magic marker to make it disappear.
