Gregory D Lancaster , PA January 02, 2016 The fan went bad it was no longer moving cold air from the freezer I removed both basket guides, removed the ice cube maker then removed the back wall panel, all only taking around 10 min. This gave me access to the fan, removed 2 more screws, disconnected 3 wires, all with connectors, then went in reverse to install new fan. 1/4" nut driver and a pair of needle nose pliers is all you need. The pliers are to remove the plastic wire keepers on the fan. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers

Richard H Seattle , WA June 17, 2014 Appliance: Amana Refrigerator BB20VE Vibration/noise when the condenser runs I isolated the problem to a rattling in the back of the freezer. I tried tightening the screws and put a lightweight insulation strip between the various plastic interior parts. That worked for a bit, but started making noise again in a few weeks. Ultimately, I identified that the evaporator fan was the source of the rattling; the fan was worn out, and caused a lot of vibration when it was running. The part was very straightforward to replace. Consider taking a picture before you start, so you can connect the wires in the right place. My only hitch, and this wasn't the fault of ApplicancePartsPros (their customer service was great, BTW), was a bent fan bracket. Both the original part, and the second one they sent out, had a problem. It turned out to be easy to fix; simply disassemble the part, and straighten the bracket with a pair of pliers. No big deal, and the new part is very quiet. My wife couldn't believe the change. Good luck! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Pliers, Screwdrivers
