Gerald K Federal Way , WA January 06, 2017 Appliance: KitchenAid 24" Built-In Electric Single Oven Self-Clean KEBC141KWH03 Glass front panel on our oven door was broken Removed the remaining parts of the glass panel. It's safety glass so there were lots of non-sharp pieces. Received the new panel. Tried to re-install it, but had to remove the 2 u-shaped clips at the bottom of the oven door to complete the install. Most time-consuming part of install involved the door handle. The handle is mounted to the glass panel using 2 metal plates and 4 screws. Getting the handle attached to the glass panel is easy; however, those 2 metal plates also have 2 additional screw holes which must match 2 screw holes on the metal oven door....those 2 screws are what hold the top of the glass panel to the oven door. So, it took a few times of loosening the screws holding the metal plates to the door and sliding the plates a bit, then re-tightening, then checking to see if the two screw holes lined up or not.
