Description
This membrane switch, also called the touchpad/keypad, sits behind the control panel. It reads your button presses and sends them to the electronic control, restoring dependable response when keys are unresponsive, intermittent, or stuck. What it does:
- Translates touch inputs into signals for the control board
- Common fix for dead, intermittent, or hard-to-press keys
- Helps resolve stuck/phantom key presses and random beeping
- Restores the ability to start/stop functions and adjust settings
What's included:
- One membrane switch (touchpad) assembly
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing
- Access the console/control area; note routing and orientation of the flat ribbon connector(s)
- Insert the ribbon straight into the control board connector and lock the retainer; avoid creasing the flex
- Align and press the keypad evenly if adhesive-backed; reuse any trim/overlay as designed for your model
