Robert R Wayland , NY July 13, 2023 Appliance: Model ED5FHAXYS01 Ice distribution center broke at the gear bushing at the bottom I went on your site and found the rod I needed based on the scale drawing you had. I guessed on the coupling you had shown but didn't look close enough. But I salvaged the old one and took the unit apart with some difficulty. The old rod expanded at the bottom when the bushing tore out and I had to grind it down with a dremel. Put the new rod in and the unit works fine, cubed, and crushed ice! Read More... Jeff L Buckeye , AZ April 14, 2020 Appliance: Whirlpool Refrigerator GS5VHAXWY01 Auger coupling was stripped. All I needed as the auger coupler that connects it with the drive shaft to the ice maker, but the screw attaching the coupler to the auger was corroded and I ended up stripping the screw. So I had to drill out the old screw and scrap the auger. Bought a new auger, screw, and coupler and the repair went well. Timothy L Leavenworth , KS August 15, 2020 Appliance: Maytag Refrigerator MSD2550VEB01 Ice dispenser. Replaced auger, auger motor drive shaft, coupler, drive shaft seal, and spring. Had to drill screw to remove coupler on old auger. Used tape to hold ice blades in place while changing augers. Worked great; with a steady hand. Process was easier than I expected. Read More...
