Nathan M Poughkeepsie , NY September 23, 2014 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDR24SEWH2 Overflowed and failed to drain 14 Year old Kitchen Aid dishwasher: The float had buildup and didn't float when the dishwasher was overfilled. Cleaned it. The drain pump didn't drain most likely from numerous glass fragments around the drain pump. I had a tough time getting the large impeller out. The screw was very tight. I ended up breaking the plastic nut. I had to chisel and bust it. The small impeller was difficult too and had to be chiseled out. Reinstallation was quick and easy with kit. AppliancePartsPro video was extremely helpful. I replaced the worn ring bearings as well. The only odd thing was a buzzing sound when the drain pump was working. There was a little play with the impeller on the motor shaft. Nevertheless, it worked fine after I was done.
