Whirlpool W10807920 Silverware Basket OEM Part

Purchased a replacement basket. First I visited the Sears website for a replacement part since the dishwasher was a Kenmore, but Sears did not carry the same basket that was original to the dishwasher. Their replacement was an open basket without dividers. You are the only company that I found that carries the exact part for the model of dishwasher. Nylon bearing wore thin allowing excess slop in spray arm. Spray arm caught basket as it was pulled out. Retaining nut broke off. Removed remaining portion of nut from dishwasher, replaced both bearings and retaining nut. Happily washing again. It took longer to type this than it did to make the repair.

Just replaced the things. Had to reuse old tine rows, rollers, the spray arm, etc., i.e. I removed 'em from the old racks and put on the new ones, but that was piece of cake. Also, I cleaned the food grinder and the discharge valve compartment (thank you very ???? ???? much, Internet), so spray arms around the top rack get enough water pressure now. I didn't have to buy any parts for the latter part of this little repair project, though.

Did not fix it. Since it was a Kenmore, I went to SEARS and they no longer have a replacement in stock..so they want to use a replacement, but not the same. I went to Appliance Pros, and they had the same basket that came with the dishwasher at about 1/2 the price. I ordered it and it came in less than 2 days. Took it out of the box, put the top center piece in the tray and put it in the dishwasher. Voila! Done. BTW, the original that came with the dishwasher did not have the center knife slots in it to help keep the items from banging on the bottom grid.
