Joseph B West Columbia , SC March 04, 2019 Appliance: Model KENMORE TOP LOAD WASHER Top lid loose on Kenmore washer. Checked found lid loose. Washer was making an excessive amount of noise. Went on line found this site and ordered new hinge bushings and screws. I removed old screws on one side removed one hinge and then remove other hinge while still attached to lit by twisting lid. I then removed old plastic bushings using a pair of needle nose pliers. Installed new bushings simply by pushing them in place. On the lid hinge next to console I had to install those screws. I then put lid hinge into bushing on that side. Once in place I set the other hinge in place and installed screws. Took less than 5 minutes start to finish. Read More...
