Description

The Lid Hinge Bearing is an OEM component for Whirlpool front-loading washing machines. Mounted to the wash tub, this bearing houses plastic rollers that support the smooth, balanced movement of the machine lid. 

Symptoms of degraded or worn-out hinge bearings include:

• Excessive noise or grinding sounds from the lid area  
• Difficulty opening and closing the lid
• Binding that damages mounting brackets over time

Causes involve bearing fatigue from repeated opening/closing cycles as well as mineral oil breakdown within the rollers.
